Explore Jordan with an adventurous spirit, mixing luxury hotels with simple desert camps and lodges. Take your time and explore Jordan’s varied landscape, from its vast nature reserves, to its magnificent deserts while taking in all its major historical sights.
Day 1 – Amman: Arrival to Amman Airport where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for 2 nights stay.
Day 2 – Amman / Um Qais / Ajlun / Jerash / Amman: After breakfast depart for Um Qais, a city rich with basalt close to Golan Heights and Lake Tiberius. After lunch visit the village of Ajlun with its fortress and magnificent view. Next head to Jerash; one of the most preserved Greco-Roman cities in the Middle East and return to your hotel in Amman.
Day 3 – Amman / City Tour / Dead Sea: After breakfast, a morning city tour of Amman to visit the ruins of the Amman amphitheatre, the citadel and the Umayyad Palace then head to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, for a night. The afternoon is free for relaxation at the lowest point on earth.
Day 4 – Dead Sea / Wadi Mujib Reserve: Morning at leisure. Transfer to the Wadi Mujib Nature Reserve. Guided hiking tour. Overnight in the Reserve.
Day 5 – Mujib / Madaba / Mt. Nebo / Wadi Mujib / Kerak / Dana: Morning departure south down the King’s Highway. Visit the Christian Town of Madaba ‘The City of Mosaics’ and visit Mount Nebo, the site of the endearing monastery. Proceed to Kerak through Wadi Mujib, a deep valley holding one of Jordan’s most breathtaking views. Visit the Kerak castle with its diverse history dated from the Byzantine to the Mamluk period. Continue to Dana Nature Reserve. Overnight at the Reserve.
Day 6 – Dana / Petra: In the morning there is a guided hiking tour at the Reserve prior to your transfer. Transfer to Petra for 2 nights stay.
Day 7 – Petra: After breakfast, visit the ancient Nabataean Capital for a full day, starting with a walk through the famous Siq. You will then gradually discover the mysteries of the rose-red City with its spectacular Treasury, Royal Tombs, burial chambers and high places of sacrifice. Return to hotel.
Day 8 – Petra / Beida / Wadi Rum: Visit Beida, before heading to Wadi Rum for a sunset Jeep Tour. Tradtional Bedouin dinner and overnight at camp.
Day 9 – Wadi Rum / Amman: After breakfast transfer to Amman for a night.
Day 10 – Amman: Breakfast, then morning transfer to Amman airport for final departure back home
